Alex Hamilton is an associate in the labor and employment division of Monty & Ramirez LLP. Her practice consists of representing domestic and foreign entities and individuals in a broad range of corporate matters, including corporate formation and restructuring, corporate governance, real estate transactions, contract negotiation and other general corporate and employment matters. Prior to joining Monty & Ramirez LLP, Alex represented clients in corporate and real estate transactional matters at a mid-sized law firm in Houston, Texas.
While attending South Texas College of Law, she interned at the Technology Management Office at UT Health and in the General Counsel office at Spectra Energy. She proudly served as Editor-in-Chief at STCL Currents: Journal of International Economic Law and was on the Student Advisory Board of the Transactional Practice Center. She earned the distinguished South Texas Transactional Certificate from South Texas College of law. In addition, she was Vice President of the Intellectual Property & Technology Law Society and was honored to be a pupil member of the Houston Intellectual Property American Inn of Court. She participated in the student branch of the Frank Evans Center for Conflict Resolution and became a Certified Texas Mediator in 2014. Furthermore, she was a Dean Scholar and earned a CALI Award for highest grade in the Transactional Skills Real Estate course.
Prior to attending South Texas College of Law, Alex was a senior biotechnology professional in the Medical Genetics Laboratories at Baylor College of Medicine. She has over a decade of marketing development and technical commercialization experience and served as a client liaison for all medical, technical, sales and support services. She attending Baylor University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an English Minor. While attending Baylor University, she became a founding member of the Water Polo Club team.
In 2017, she has presented two HYLA Lunch and Learn CLEs titled “Trade Secret Theft in the Digital Age – Electronic Forensic Examination” and “Boilerplate Contract Provisions”.
