Managing Partner, Jacob M. Monty releases third book: The Sons of Wetbacks: A Memoir about America, Immigration, and Jacob’s 5 Uncles Who Were the Sons of Wetbacks and All Served in WWII

The Sons of Wetbacks: A Memoir about America, Immigration, and Jacob’s 5 Uncles who were the Sons of Wetbacks and all served in WWII is out now! The memoir, written by Jacob Montilijo Monty, a third-generation Mexican-American, discusses immigration in America, the need for an immigration reform, and how the nation benefits from Latino immigration. The memoir demonstrates that Latino values align with conservative values. The Sons of Wetbacks also explains how enemies of immigration have weaponized language. “Amnesty” is considered a bad word. The term “illegal” is used to dehumanize immigrants, declaring humans illegal rather than their actions. Within 188 pages, Monty indicates why the application of this term is unfair and should be changed.

Jacob Montilijo Monty is a Texas Board Certified attorney at Monty & Ramirez LLP. Monty & Ramirez LLP is a law firm focused on the representation of companies and individuals in immigration, labor, and employment law matters throughout the nation.

The Sons of Wetbacks is available through Amazon.
