Brittany Mortimer joined Monty & Ramirez LLP in 2014. Her practice focuses on employment and commercial litigation, as well as human resources consulting. Brittany defends public and private employers in employment disputes, and has experience litigating business disputes from both the plaintiff’s and defendant’s side. In addition, through her consulting practice, Brittany helps employers in Texas and throughout the United States avoid the courtroom in the first place. She interprets and applies state and federal laws and regulations to clients’ employment policies to identify and minimize risks, and recommends best practices in response to clients’ specific dilemmas.
During law school, Brittany clerked for the Southern District of Texas, the Harris County Attorney’s Office, and a boutique commercial litigation firm. She also managed a wide variety of civil cases as a Student Attorney in the University of Houston Civil Practice Clinic. In addition, she played an instrumental role in organizing an international legal conference through her position as Communications Director for the North American Consortium on Legal Education.
Brittany also helps clients with Affordable Care Act compliance. In addition to helping companies with labor employment matters, Brittany also assists clients with extraordinary skills in obtaining non-immigrant visas.
