Associate Attorney Jacob M. Monty Jr is an associate attorney at Monty & Ramirez LLP, where he practices in the firm’s immigration division. Jacob’s work focuses on employment-based immigration, family-based immigration, and removal defense. As a product of the U.S.–Mexico border, Jacob brings a bicultural perspective informed by his family’s cross-border heritage. His background has fostered a deep appreciation for diversity, resilience, and community values. Educated under Jesuit principles, Jacob approaches client service as a “Man for Others,” grounding his advocacy in service, integrity, and compassion. Jacob earned his undergraduate degree in English from Texas A&M University in 2020 and a Master’s in Latin American and Border Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2021, where he gained firsthand insight into the immigration system and its impact on border communities. He received his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2024. During law school, Jacob clerked for Judge Rabeea Collier of the 113th District Court and for the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) at the Houston Jefferson Street Immigration Court. He also served as a research assistant to the Vice Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, held officer roles in student organizations, made the honor roll, and served as a Bar Coach for the Bar Success Program. Jacob is proud to continue serving the community that shaped him and looks forward to advocating for individuals, families, and companies with the same care and commitment that have defined his path.
