Associate Attorney

Maria Moreno is an Associate Attorney at Monty & Ramirez LLP, where she focuses her practice on employment law, representing companies in workplace matters, employment disputes, and immigration compliance matters. A first-generation college and law school graduate, Maria began her academic journey at Lone Star College before transferring to Sam Houston State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with minors in Philosophy and Spanish. She went on to earn her law degree from South Texas College of Law Houston, where she was a Presidential Fellow, a Dean’s List honoree, and a scholarship recipient. During law school, she studied abroad in Prague, served on the board of the American Civil Liberties Union, and was an active member of the Hispanic Law Student Association. Maria is licensed to practice law in Texas and is eligible to practice in all jurisdictions that administer the Uniform Bar Examination (UBE). She joined Monty & Ramirez LLP to serve clients through thoughtful counsel and dedicated advocacy, while also giving back to her community through mentorship and volunteer work. Fully bilingual in Spanish, she volunteers with grassroots Hispanic organizations and is dedicated to strengthening her community. She is especially passionate about mentoring community college students pursuing a career in law, inspired by her own educational path.
Outside of her legal practice, Maria enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending live music shows, traveling, exploring new cultures, hiking, biking, and immersing herself in nature.
